UN for Taiwan Rally at New York City

On September 15th, 2007, more than 3000 Taiwanese overseas joined the “UN for Taiwan” rally outside the U.N. headquarters in New York City. The rally was led by Shieh Jhy-wey ( 謝志偉 ), the minister of Taiwan’s Government Information Office. The “spiritual leader” of the whole event was Taiwan’s Sea Goddess Mazu accompanied with other deities, displaying Taiwan’s local traditions. The following video also includes interviews of some participants who rejected China’s bullying and supported “UN for Taiwan.”
