A long and winding road

Despite its high standard of living and proven record of providing international humanitarian aid, Taiwan continues to be frozen out of the World Health Organization for purely political reasons.

The horrors of SARS, AIDS, and now H5N1 bird flu show us that disease neither recognizes nor respects national borders. If we are to effectively defend ourselves from contageous disease, all people must have access to the W.H.O. and its services.

Please undo 36 years of injustice and help Taiwan regain its rightful place in the international health community.
